President FOCP

Dear Colleagues,

I would like to extend a warm welcome to the participants of the 5th GFFCC 2011 Conference.
We are delighted to be your hosts at the Emirate of Sharjah and together with our valued partner, GFFCC, I can promise you all that we are already working on ensuring that our destination will live up to all you may expect of it.

This is the first time such a prestigious international meeting will be hosted in the United Arab Emirates, and the Friends of Cancer Patients (FOCP), welcomes our Oncology colleagues from around the world.
Certainly we believe that in Sharjah Expo Centre you will find a venue that compares favorably in terms of facilities and services with the very best the world has to offer.

Sharjah is a rapidly developing vibrant city: and is very proud of its rich cultural heritage and this can be seen in the architecture, food and entertainment. We value our host city role as it sits very comfortably with our long-held tradition of dispensing Arabian hospitality at its finest. We also recognize that the conference gives us an unparalleled opportunity to show the Cultural Capital of the Arab World, and the wider United Arab Emirates, and we hope you will become great ambassadors for our destination – and will return to sample the destination’s attractions at your leisure.

Preparations are well underway to ensure you and your accompanying guests experience the very best of the well known Arabian hospitality. I encourage you to explore the unique social and cultural heritage of the UAE and wish you a great stay!

Sincerely,

Ameera Bin Karam
Friends of Cancer Patients
President of the Board of Trustees
